Our Mission
Chad and Robin Pennington created the 1st and 10 Foundation in 2003 with the mission to build stronger communities by funding programs and institutions that seek to improve quality of life throughout West Virginia, Tennessee and South Florida.

Walking on Sunshine

Serving the South Florida area was a natural fit for the 1st and 10 Foundation. Chad signed with the Miami Dolphins in August 2008 and it's the place he currently calls home. The Foundation also began the program Friends of 10 - giving game tickets to each of the Dolphins home games to a deserving group.

Volunteer-ing

Chad was born and raised in the Volunteer state, so it's easy to see why helping others is such a big part of his life. In addition to granting funds to groups in Tennessee, the Foundation also hosts Christmas in Knoxville, and event that takes 25 children on a shopping spree in December.

The Mountain State

West Virginia holds a special place in the hearts of Chad and Robin. The founders of the Foundation are graduates of Marshall University, in Huntington, and it is where Chad set so many records as quarterback for the Thundering Herd. In addition, Robin is a native of Julian. The Foundation holds the Celebrity Bowl, its annual fundraising event, in Huntington in addition to supporting many West Virginia communities.
