2008 Celebrity Bowl Raises Over $150,000
Over $150,000 was raised for area charities as the 4th Annual Celebrity Bowl event in Huntington. A star-studded cast joined Chad for this year's event, including Hall-of-Famer Tony Dorsett and Pro Bowl receiver Steve Smith.
Bobby Hampton Memorial Race
The 5th Annual Bobby Hampton Memorial Race, held June 21, 2008, was another big success. Runners and walkers participated in this year's event at Scott High School. The event is held each year to honor the memory of Robin Pennington’s father, Robert Hampton. This year's event included a 5K run/walk, and a children’s race.

Fall 2007 Grant Recipients Announced
The 1st and 10 Foundation awarded a record $178,500 to nine organizations throughout Tennessee and West Virginia for the fall grant cycle. The Foundation, which issues grants on a semi-annual basis, distributed $213,500 to communities in 2007. The next grant application deadline is August 15, 2008.
